The US Department of Agriculture is one of BioScent’s customers for scent detection dogs. Bio-K9 predominantly uses Beagles, with a keen sense of smell, eagerness to work, and friendly disposition, beagles are the perfect breed for the job. Bio-K9 currently has 64 dogs in training.</image:caption>

Heather Junqueira (Founder of Bio-K9) has published studies involving canine scent in The Journal of the American Osteopathic Medicine. Junqueira is one of the leading researchers in the field and was a guest speaker at an international conference in Paris in 2019. Bio-K9 has a collaborative research agreement with The University of South Florida. Together they are looking for new innovative ways to detect COVID 19.</image:caption>
